Meeting, webinar or live broadcast: which one should you use?

A simple way to decide between a meeting, a webinar and a live broadcast.

Use a meeting when everyone should be able to speak

Meetings suit teams, classes and consultations: everyone can talk, share and use the whiteboard. They work best up to a size where conversation still makes sense.

Use a webinar when a few people present to many

A webinar puts presenters on a stage and lets the audience watch, ask questions and respond to polls. Registration gives each attendee a personal link and tells you who is coming.

Use a live broadcast for a very large watch-only audience

When the audience is large and does not need to speak, broadcasting is the most scalable option. Viewers watch a stream and can use chat or Q&A where enabled.

A quick decision guide

Fewer than about a few dozen people and everyone should speak? Meeting. A presentation with questions, and you want registration? Webinar. A big audience that mostly watches? Live broadcast. You can also use a Day Pass when you need a large session just once.
