1. Information We Collect
- Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed) and optional two-step sign-in settings.
- Meeting data: meeting IDs, schedules, participants’ display names, join and leave times, and settings.
- Meeting reports: attendance (names, emails, roles, minutes attended), poll results, Q&A, the live-caption transcript and the public chat of each meeting.
- Files shared in chat (deleted automatically after 24 hours).
- Webinar registrations: name and email.
- Billing data: plan, wallet transactions and invoices. Card and UPI payments are handled by our payment partner; we do not store your card details.
- Verification data (only for creators and Audience Partners): legal name, date of birth, PAN card, address and payout details (UPI ID or bank account).
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and connection-quality diagnostics used to keep calls working.
2. Audio, Video and Recordings
Meeting audio and video are not recorded or stored by us. In small meetings they travel directly between participants; in larger meetings and webinars they pass through our media servers, which forward them to the other participants. When a direct connection is not possible, a relay (TURN) server forwards the encrypted media.
Recordings are created only when a host starts one and are saved on that person’s own device — never uploaded to us.
3. Live Captions and Translation
When the host turns on captions, each participant’s browser converts their own speech to text using the browser’s speech-recognition service. In Chrome this is an online service provided by Google; the meeting shows a notice when captions are on. Caption text is shared with the meeting and saved in the meeting report.
Caption translation (Chrome on desktop) runs on your own device; translated text is not sent to us.
4. Meeting Summaries
Each meeting report includes an automatic summary generated on our servers from the transcript and public chat. If we enable an external AI provider to improve summaries, the transcript and chat of that meeting are sent to that provider only to generate the summary; we will update this policy to name the provider before doing so.
5. How We Use Information
We use your data to provide and secure the Service: sign-in, running meetings and webinars, meeting reports, billing, payouts, fraud prevention, support and improving reliability. We never sell your personal data.
6. Who Can See Your Data
- Meeting reports: only the meeting owner, a platform admin, and — while the meeting is live — its host and co-hosts.
- Webinar registrants: the webinar host can see and download the registration list.
- Verification data: reviewed only by our Trust & Safety and finance staff; every access is logged.
- Service providers: our payment partner, hosting providers and (for captions) your browser’s speech service.
- Authorities, where required by law.
7. Data Security
Audio and video are encrypted in transit with DTLS-SRTP, and the website, apps and signalling use HTTPS/TLS. Meetings are not end-to-end encrypted: our media servers can technically access media while forwarding it, but do not store it. Relay credentials are short-lived. Accounts can be protected with two-step sign-in (authenticator app or passkey), and you can sign out of any device remotely.
8. Data Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Meeting reports are kept so that the meeting owner can review them. Chat files are deleted after 24 hours. Financial and verification records are kept for as long as the law requires. When you ask us to delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law (for example billing and verification records). You can write to us at any time to ask what we hold and for how long.
9. Your Rights
You have control over your personal data. You may:
- Access or correct your personal data
- Ask us to delete your account and personal data (subject to records we must keep by law)
- Ask for a copy of your data
- Opt out of marketing communications
There is no self-service export or delete button yet — to exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
