Making online meetings accessible: captions, language and clarity
How captions, clear audio, simple language and good layouts help everyone take part.

Live captions help people who are hard of hearing, those in noisy places and anyone following a language that is not their first. KEZAYO supports live captions in 19 languages, including 10 Indian languages.
Speak clearly and share material in advance
Speak at a steady pace, avoid talking over each other and share slides or documents beforehand so people can read at their own speed.
Describe what is on screen
When you share a diagram or chart, describe it aloud. This helps people who cannot see the screen well or who are listening on a phone.
Offer more than one way to take part
Allow questions by voice, chat or Q&A. Not everyone is comfortable speaking up, and some people type faster than they speak.
Keep the layout simple
Use a clean background, large fonts on slides and a consistent layout. Avoid rapid animations.
